WSDC TRIAL COMPETITION AT THE EURO DANCE FESTIVAL

The WSDC (World Swing Dance Council) Trial Competition on the Saturday of the festival was a complete success. Thanks to everyone who took part and supported the project!

Info & Rules

A day ticket Saturday, an evening ticket Saturday, a six-day ticket or a three-day ticket (FR-SO) are required to participate.

Entry fee: 5 Euro / person
Tournament format: Jack & Jill
Location: EP-Arena (Hall 1)

Here are the categories of the Jack & Jill competitions:

Newcomer: Newcomers are new to the WSDC competition in their role. Participants can compete in either the Newcomer or Novice divisions, but must compete in Novice once they have earned a point in the Newcomer or Novice division in their selected role (primary or secondary role).

Novice: Participants who have achieved fewer than 16 Novice points.

Intermediate: Participants who have achieved 16 or more Novice points.

Advanced: Participants who have achieved 30 or more Intermediate points.

Sophisticated: Participants aged 35+ years.

Masters: Participants aged 50+ years.

All dances will be judged on the basis of timing, technique and teamwork. The tournament will be held according to the official rules of the World Swing Dance Council, which can be found here: https://www.worldsdc.com/rules
