Thanks to your ongoing feedback, we not only relaunched our web page with your ideas and wishes in mind. We also remodeled the online booking system to be more efficient and easier to use. Read on for the most important changes in detail:
The system of the so-called "Abholnummern" used to identify your booking has been replaced. Instead, you now will receive a paper ticket in the mail following your payment (as before: with credit card or bank transfer within the EU). Bring this ticket to the festival and we will exchange it for your wristbands and any other options you have ordered during online booking. This system is faster and more reliable than the old one.
Your seat ticket from now on is not restricted to a specific table anymore - in the category chosen by you (1st or 2nd row) you choose your table at the festival. With 8 places per table (round tables in "Ballsaal Berlin" and rectangular tables in "EP-Dome") even large groups have the opportunity to sit next to each other. Seat tickets can be booked with a surcharge on top of any 4-day-pass or day-pass.
How does it work? On every day of the festival, there will be a separate desk (in Hotel Colosseo lobby) where you will see the available tables for the respective day (and only for this day). With one exception: On Wednesday evening, you will be able to choose your Thursday evening seats. You then select a remaining table and we will put down the table's number on your ticket. Once in the dance hall, you choose your seat at the previously selected table. This process of selecting tables is repeated on Friday and Saturday, in oder to give guests arriving at the week-end an equal opportunity for selecting their preferred seats.
How about groups? This is new as well: one person can select up to a full table (meaning 8 seats) at the same time, if he or she brings with him to the desk the appropriate tickets given to him by his or her friends.
Evening tickets (without seats) are now sold exclusively on site. We have more space to accomodate guests during evening events, so online booking ahead of time is not necessary anymore.
Perhaps today you don't yet know which or how many cameras, camcorders or other video/photo devices you will bring with you. Because of this, we have lowered the price of the film and photo license on site to equal the price in online booking. Which means you can always buy additional licenses at the festival, without financial disadvantage. Nevertheless, you can still order your licenses during online booking.
Credit card payments are now one step more secure. The already very highly secured credit card payment form on our booking site has been replaced with a payment form hosted directly by our payment service provider TeleCash, well-known for highest security standards and a large number of transactions performed daily.
If you require an invoice with VAT disclosure or if you want a separate confirmation of payment we will now send invoices directly with your tickets - this is a lot faster than the previous approach.
